Granola Bars

Granola Bars

Ingredients:

1 cup  butter or margarine
1 cup  brown sugar - (firmly packed)
1 cup  orange juice
4 cups  quick-cooking rolled oats
1 teaspoon  vanilla
½ cup  raisins
1 cup  walnuts -- chopped
1 cup  flaked coconut

In a medium saucepan, melt butter or margarine and add brown sugar and orange juice.  Stir constantly until sugar melts.  Add vanilla and stir.  Remove from heat and add rolled oats, nuts and coconut.

Spread in a 9- by 13-inch pan.  Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.  Cool slightly and cut into bars.

This recipe yields 15 bars.
